Osaka-Kobe:

The most number of at-risk-cities are from Japan, since the country is an Island that is centered on hard geographic conditions. These two Japanese cities unlike Tokyo may not be affected severely but at the same time the toll of destruction can be massive.

Japan’s geography is prone to nature’s fury like volcanic activities, earth quakes, cyclones, floods and tsunamis. This is why Japan has the highest number of cities at risk.

Jakarta:

The industrious city of Indonesia, Jakarta is also on the list. This city was severely hit back in 2006 when the tsunami washed over the shores of the city leaving it in ruins. It is one of the most populous cities in Indonesia, and also the business center of the country, to preserve this, the government must take all necessary precautions to check the rise of natural disasters which occur without a warning.

Nagoya:

Another city from Japan, Nagoya, is subjected to heavy rains, which in turn can cause floods, landslides and typhoons. Japan has a well-structured evacuation plans that designated areas for safety and evacuation measures.

The vulnerability of this country to nature’s fury has caused Japan to create well planned out ways to save their people. Nagoya has a well structured safety measures.
