Cult Classics which were Hugely Successful Comics & No it is Not Marvel or DC!!

Men in Black Trilogy

This Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones starrer turned out to be big hit and had a huge fan base after the release of the first film. The movies themselves were adapted into an animated series and a reboot of the trilogy is under development. But very few actually know that the movie, which focuses mainly on aliens, was in fact adapted from the MIB comic book series which were much darker and had a wider horizon covering, not just aliens but vampires, werewolves and demons and the like.

Ghost World

This comedy-drama, which was a cult classic when it hit the screens, talks about two young girls – the bespectacled Enid (Thora Birch)and her closest friend Rebecca (Scarlett Johansson) who are social outcasts and how their lives change when they prank call a person who has given an ad in the papers. The movie was adapted from a series of successful graphic novels of the same name.
