Bangalore: Indian television has offered some of the biggest and evergreen hits to its audience, in a country which is mainly dominated by bollywood. Here are some of the Indian TV series which are widely accepted by people and which has been successful in setting a trend in the history of Indian Television-

8. Shanti

Shanti - Ek Aurat Ki Kahani is an Indian television series that was telecasted on DD National in 1994, and later on, in STAR Plus. The series stars Mandira Bedi as Shanti in the main lead.

The story starts with the life of two friends from the biggest Bollywood production house in the country and Shanti is an aspiring journalist, who plans to work on the biographies of these two friends.

Shanti was an incredible episode in te history of Doordarshan and this was one TV show that launched Mandira Bandi, who is still remembered as Shanti among the Indian audience.

1: Whoever made this list must be very young and immature. No research done before writing this article. No mention of Buniyaad, Bharat Ek Khoj, Surabhi, World this Week, Zabaan Sambhal ke, Karamchand and one of the greatest - Chanakya!

6: except KBC all shows are native Indian real concept, original creations based on researched content and basic Indian imagination. KBC might be the most popular show, in reality its franchised Indian version where even sound light and set all is borrowed from its parent U.K show ''wHO wants to be a millionarie''.
