Elf: $173.3 million
Gaining $173.3 million in the theatres, this family comedy was released during the beginning of the festive season, that is in early November. The movie brought the New Line Pictures a great profit. Will Ferrell was given the role of the wide eyed optimistic Buddy, The Elf. It was really dazzling to see the portrayal of Ferrell as a charming and kind hearted Buddy. One can guess from the name that the character of the Elf is too lovable and the exceptional acting of Will Ferrell made it a grand success.
