Apple has issued a statement in response to the allegations saying that the company's "diagnostic functions do not compromise user privacy and security," but Zdziarski has responded by noting that these services "dish out data" regardless of whether the user has agreed to diagnostics, reports The Times of India.

Apple protects its side and proclaims that iOS is designed in such a way that its diagnostic functions does not compromise user privacy and security, moreover it provides needed information to enterprise IT departments, developers and Apple for troubleshooting technical issues.

On the other hand, Zdziarski wrote on his blog that he is not accusing Apple of putting backdoors, but he just suggested that some services running in iOS should not be there; moreover these accused services were intentionally added by Apple as a part of firmware.
