The Google Vs. Microsoft Cloud War Continues

Bangalore:  Both, Microsoft and Google has been jockeying for the ultimate tech innovator post for years. ‘The PC giant vs. the search giant’ heavyweight battle is now being credited as one of the most furious encounters ever in the tech history. And now the latest place for battle is the online productivity arena.

Recently, Microsoft has been marketing Exchange Online services like never before, which clearly depicts their will power to take on Google’s very own productive tool, Gmail. In a survey by Cloud Sherpas, who had analyzed Microsoft Exchange with Gmail, found that Exchange Online had a 97.929 percent uptime rate, lower than Microsoft's 99.9 percent uptime promise.

The team monitored Exchange Online from Sept. 23, 2012 to February 2, 2013, whereas Gmail figures were recorded from the entire 2012 calendar year. After monitoring both, Exchange Online was problem free till January 1, whereas Gmail crashed a few times.

Yet, whatever be the numbers, the final verdict is that there are no clear winners. Both, Microsoft Exchange Online and Google are the true competitors of today’s tech world.
