NEW DELHI: India’s leading mobile app for personal transportation, today announced the launch of ‘Ola Premier League’, a five week long contest that will see Ola drivers in Bangalore compete to win prizes that include a 2 BHK apartment, weekly foreign trips with a friend or family member, free down payment and 3 month EMI for their cars, consumer durables like refrigerators, TVs, Fridges, Washing machines and invitation to gala entertainment evenings with their family.

The five week long Ola Premier League offers a host of opportunities to drivers to win rewards based on their scores during the total duration of the contest every week. The driver who scores most number of runs during the entire duration of the contest gets to win a 2 BHK flat while the top two weekly performers will win foreign trips along with a friend / family member of their choice. The next 4 top weekly performers will be eligible for a prize money that will take care of their car down payment and 3 months EMI. The following 50 top drivers stand to win consumer durables like TVs, fridges and washing machines worth 8,000 each. Also, the subsequent 150 drivers stand to win consumer electronics worth around 1500. All the above performers must have scored a minimum of 50 runs/ week to qualify in this lucky draw. On top of this, at the end of 5 weeks, the top 500 performers will be invited for a gala entertainment evening along with their family, hosted by Ola.

The Ola Premier League awards ‘runs’ to drivers on the basis of number of bookings that he/she completes. The drivers who will log in for longer durations for more number of days stand to win more since they’re likely to get more booking requests on the Ola app. Customer feedback on every ride will also be incorporated to ensure that service quality is maintained. Drivers will receive updates on their position on the scoreboard and details of drivers who are leading as well.

We have brought in a contest approach to make this fun and engaging for all driver partners. We encourage both new and existing drivers on the Ola app to participate in the Ola Premier League and make it a grand success!” 

Ola has introduced multiple initiatives to ensure safety, security, financial and social well being of drivers on its platform. Recently, the company had announced the first ever rewards-oriented initiative in India for drivers, Ola Stars, that included personal and professional benefits for drivers ranging from medical insurance, scholarship for children and skill development training for family to fuel discounts and car-servicing benefits. Prior to that, Ola had launched ‘Ola Pragati’ in partnership with SBI, a tailor-made program to enable its drivers to take loans at lower rates and pay a part their EMIs on a daily basis.
