India Has Lost The Battle To Save Its Reputation: Narayana Murthy
Bangalore: The current economic, social and financial conditions prevailing in India have trampled its reputation that it will never recover from.
In an interview given to ET NOW, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy spoke about the current crisis that the country is facing and expressed his concerns over its impact on the business and enterprise sector. He put forth his disappointment explaining how the world had loads of expectations from our country and how we have let them down by reaching at such a level that it will take decades to recuperate from the damages we have caused to our reputation.
In his further statements he reasoned his statement by telling him how things have changed for Indian enterprise and technology sector on a global platform. Murthy recalled how the CEOs of top notch IT companies used to mention India at least once out of the three times they mentioned China during meetings but now they sideline India even if China is being mentioned thirty times.
Murthy stood by his statements explaining that the main reason for the India’s ill-fate can be accustomed to the indifferences that the government is going through. This has lead to bring the decision-making process to a stand-still and this is one primary reason that investors are repelling from investing in the Indian market. The retrospective changes to the tax laws have also hampered the growth of the Indian enterprises. He came out strongly saying that this is not what an aspiring economy must be doing.
