Where The World's Richest Control Half Of Country's Wealth

The statistics are bizarre but very true. The country though in the last decade is slowly seeing a change of 11 percent, where the wealth is being distributed. Turkey has one of the highest percent changes when it comes to wealth distribution in the last decade.

Hong Kong:

Surprisingly a lot of Asian countries feature on this list and the explanation would be based on economic growth and development that Asia is witnessing now. But, Hong Kong, one of the richest and stable economies in Asia, has a wealth gap where 77.5 percent of the wealth is owned by 10 percent of the population.

This leaves only 22.5 percent of the nation’s wealth available to 90 percent of the population. The gap is unbelievably huge. In the last decade, there has been an 11.6 percent change in wealth distribution among the people.

Indonesia:

A country that is in the developing stage stands on the top ten list when it comes to the distribution of wealth; with 77.2 percent of the nation’s wealth concentrated by 10 percent of the economy. This may not be a huge surprise since it is still stabilizing itself. The change in distribution in the last decade is only 6 percent in Indonesia that means the country has a long way before there can be an equal distribution of wealth.

Philippines:

Another Asian country that shares the scores of the rich holding most of the nation’s wealth is Philippines. This country maybe small but for sure has the ability to be a tough competitor when it comes to winning business deals as a nation, that is, the country is one of the most sought after destinations for outsourcing of jobs.
