5. Honiton Energy Holdings acquired by Tanti Group

With a soul ambition of potential growth and reinforcement of renewable energy sector, Tanti group of companies jointly with Bahrain based Arcapita Bank acquired the Chinese wind energy firm, Honiton Energy Holdings for around $2 billion in April 2010.

The joint partners aimed at building 1650-MW power plant of wind farms in China as countries like India and China are on a serious urge for the development of more and more renewable sources of energy.

6. Abbot Point Coal Terminal acquired by Adani Enterprises

Adani Group, an Indian conglomerate company gripped Abbot Point Coal Terminal for $1.97 billion to acquire port terminal in Australia in May 2011. With three foreign acquisitions in less than a year by Adani Enterprises, is India’s largest coal importer used in power plants.

Adani Group, founded by Gautam Adani remarks the formation of India’s largest solar power plant of 40 MW, further with achieving 3960 MW capacity, it is the largest private sector in thermal power production in India.
