India's Most Powerful Women In Business


Awards and recognitions are not new for her, but the greatest is that Forbes has named her in the list of 100 most powerful women in the world.

Kalpana Morparia: The CEO of J.P Morgan India, Kalpana heads the business groups and the service groups of the company in India. She is also a member of J.P Morgan’s global strategy team and is a key player of the company’s international expansion initiative.

Starting a career as a school teacher, Kalpana has come a long way from that job to managing some of the biggest companies in the world. She is also the director of Dr. Reddy’s Lab and also manages the Bharti Foundation which was set up by Sunil Mittal.

Renu Sud Karnad: The Managing Director of HDFC has been with the company from the start. She joined the company back in 1978, a year after it was started and since has remained loyal to the company.

The company has reported a net profit of 544 crores in the fiscal year 2014. She is also one of the highest paid woman heads of organizations with about 7.16 crores in the same fiscal year. She is the longest serving independent director of the company.
