Here's How Modi's 'Make In India' Plan Can Revive Manufacturing

There needs to be an improved method or a better reform where Manufacturing sector are not withstanding the worst of expenses for electricity so that the farmers can be given free power supply. The government will need to attack the power shortage problem in India or else give soft loans to set up captive power units.

Freight rates:  It is not unknown that the manufacturing sector bears the extra amount to subsidies the passenger rates. This sector is in high needs of transportation and even though there is a high cost on the mode of transports they are made to pay more to fill the gap from the passenger rates.

Manufacturing sectors and units are dependent on the locations of logistics and this will need softer regulations.

Land acquisitions: One big necessity for manufacturing sector is the need of land. Under the UPA led government, there was heavy price on land, which in turn was a huge hurdle for industries. The only available land that was feasible to buy was barren and uninhabited lands but this posed a problem for workers. Workers are in no mood to work for a company that is set up in uncharted and barren areas.

There are talks to ease this rigid priced system but as all “matters” that need discussions takes time this still poses as a huge threat to immediate development. The PMO office is in talks with industrialists and chief ministers to work a plan to ease this hurdle.
