The e-store idea of grocery has completely penetrated in the Indian market mostly in metros and mega urban cities. Due to poor logistics and perishability issue in most products, it’s yet to reach out the 3-tier and consecutive cities. Of the several names growing in this industry, Big Basket is doing a good business which claims to receive 20,000 orders a day. Smart logistics and vendor tie-ups can allow this segment to widen.

Ola is in people’s preview as the company promises to reach 200 cities by the end of 2015 while presently it has 60,000 cabs operating in 52 Indian cities. With other online aggregators like TaxiForSure, Meru and Uber, this industry witnessed unprecedented development in the last two years. With a present valuation around $6-$9 billion dollars, it is predicted to 17-20pct annually.
