World's 10 Richest Non-Profit Organizations

BANGALORE: It is good to see many non- profit organizations have come up, the main goal being only service mainly in areas like promotion of education and social empowerment, promotion of human health, employment, career development, and promotion of peace. However, they aim at mission rather than profit. Profits contribute to the organization's financial well-being, helping it to survive and grow. Governments often encourage donations to nonprofits by making those donations tax-exempt. Here is a list of 10 richest Non- Profit Organizations

#1. Goodwill Industries International

Annual Budget: $4,436,965,145

Goodwill is a non-profit organization which was founded in Boston, in 1902, by the Reverend Edgar J. Helms,  primarily a Christian missionary. They provide job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for people who have disabilities. Goodwill Industries hires individuals that lack education, job experience or face employment challenges. They use 82 percent of its revenue to provide these services, along with the other 18 percent going towards operational costs.

Goodwill operates as a network of 165 independent, community-based organizations in Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, the United States, Canada, and 8 other countries. Currently, Goodwill has two spokespeople helping spread the word about its mission.
