Where The World's Richest Control Half Of Country's Wealth

BANGALORE: The inequality in wealth is becoming a major concern since a chunk of a nation’s wealth is held by the rich. In countries around the world, the gap between the rich and poor is increasing since there are no regulations to see that there is an equal distribution of wealth. Since the economic meltdown back in 2008, countries have recovered faster as the American economy rides stronger and with this healing the gap has also widened.

Reports and researches show that a huge chunk of the nation’s wealth is held by a very small population. This only shows the indifference we need to fix for a stronger economy and in order to fight against poverty. Well here is a list of the countries that have their rich owning 10 percent of the whole nation’s wealth, as reports by Business Insider.

Russia:

The largest country in the world and one of the most powerful countries in history, Russia is the number one country where 10 percent of the population of the country owns 84 percent of the nation’s total wealth. When looking at it statistically this shows how poorly and insanely horrible the inequality of wealth is in the country.

This nation has experienced a change in wealth holding from 2000 till date of 7.7 percent. This means that the gap in inequality of wealth among the people of Russia is slowly closing but the percentage is still very less.

Turkey:

When looking at the European countries and the Middle East, one would expect for the well known nations to have huge financial gaps but it doesn’t work that way. In turkey 77.7 percent of the wealth is held by 10 percent of the population.
