Two Indians Among World's Most Powerful CEOs Under 40


BANGALORE: “Young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation.  Empowered, they can be key agents for development and peace”, said Kofi Annan. Forbes has compiled a list of 20 such people who have stood at the forefront of global change and innovation and altered the way the world functioned, communicated. In addition, they have achieved all this before celebrating their 41st birthday.

Forbes picked up names from publicly traded companies with high market caps, which has CEOs under the age of 40. It’s time to go back in time and revisit the careers of some of them from their dorm rooms to the global stage.

Hari K. Ravichandran: To begin with India; Ravichandran founded the website hosting company Endurance International Group in 1997 with the noble aim of helping small business owners take advantage of the internet revolution.

His company assists businesses build a strong presence for themselves in the virtual world and reap the benefits of the internet. The company has a current market cap of $2.1 billion. The 38 year old holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and MBA from Wharton. He sits in the boards of a number of growing companies. He holds the 19th position in the list of Most Powerful CEOs under 40.
