BENGALURU: India, a country where there is a huge difference between the rich and the poor, has something to give to the marginalized. 10 percent of the richest in the country hold nearly three quarters of the entire countries wealth.

Most of us would think that the rich don’t help the poor. If it is so, here are some real instances of generous billionaires in India who share their living with the poor, reports SchoopWhoop.

Azim Premji
The Wipro Chairman has been awarded as the most charitable Indian where he claims to have donated 25 percent of his wealth and also among the first Indians to join the ‘Giving Pledge’ club, a campaign initiated to encourage the world’s richest people to donate to the poor.

Ratan Tata
60-65 percent of the wealth which he incurs from his companies go to the people in the form of education, medicine and rural development. It is said that Tata had given a gift of $50 million to the Harvard Business School which helps create intellectual capital.
