6 Companies Invest Huge To Clean Up India




# ITC

Headquartered in West Bengal, ITC was the most admired company in India as per Fortune.

The company has invested in the ‘Mission Sunehra Kal' programme, which aims at ensuring substantial increase in the farmers output and this result in the improvement and development of dairy as an alternative source for their livelihoods.

 The company also plans to invest in improvising the sanitation facilities. The plan is to build close to 10,000 toilet facilities and also improve water and forest resources with providing basic education facilities too.

# Hindustan Zinc

Hindustan Zinc is into production of Zinc, lead, Silver and cadmium. It is the second largest producer of Zinc in the world, and the company plans to make 10,000 sanitation facilities in Rajasthan.

Apparently, it has already constructed close to 9,000 toilets out of the planned 30,000 in the villages of Rajasthan with joining hands with the state government.

 Vedanta at present holds 64.92 percent stake in HZL has launched a campaign called ‘Maryada’ to educate people about good sanitation habits.
