6 Companies Invest Huge To Clean Up India




As part of this programme, the Foundation will invest up to 100 crore in constructing toilets while reaching out to every rural household lacking such facilities in the district, over the next three years.

# Hindustan Unilever Limited

The Hindustan Unilever Limited is an Indian goods company based in Mumbai running the Domex toilet academy. The academy plans to build close to 24,000 toilets by 2015 in the areas where the people do not have proper sanitation facilities.

 Not just this, Unilever has also launched an initiative called the sustainable Living plan to improve the health and well being of one billion people and also cut the environmental impact of their products into half by 2020.

With this, there lot more initiatives taken by the company like the India water body, plastic recycle project and many more.

# Aditya Birla Group

Headquartered in Mumbai at the Aditya Birla Centre, the Birla group operates in more than 33 Countries worldwide. The Group plans to build close to 10,000 sanitation facilities this year with expanding the initiative to the other states as well.

States like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and many more are the ones considered for the sanitation improvements plans.
