10 Companies That Spend Billions Only On Ads


American Express:  One of the most admired brands in the world Amex is a multinational financial services corporation based in America.

This company is partnering with Apple to make easy payments through the new iPhone 6 which is to be launched around the second week of September.

When it comes to its expenditure for advertisements, the company has spent over $2.19 billion last year and most of it was spent on ads for the internet. This is comparatively a bit lower than the amount spent during 2010 and 2011, which was more $2.20 billion yet this is a huge amount after bouncing back from the recession.

Fiat Chrysler: The Italian automobile holding corporation under the Fiat Group makes cars with some of the best engines in the world. The Fait Group has major car brands such as the Ferrari, Maserati, Fait, Alfa Romeo, and the Chrysler Group, just to name a few.

The car brand spent huge sum of money to advertise their luxury Fiat Chrysler series which amounted to over $1.97 billion. Their spending on ads was the highest for Television Ads.

Verizon: This American broadband and telecommunications company is at the moment working towards wireless services. In order to educate the world of the company and the services provider, Verizon spent over $2.40 billion on Advertisements

They are spreading word of their company through television since it has the widest reach, spending over $800 million in that medium alone. It is surprising that a telecommunications company is spending this much amount of money when they can air their own services for free.
