Xiaomi Mi 3 First Impressions: A Budget Phone That Offers A Lot More

Bright and Vivid Display
The device comes with a 5-inch OGS full HD screen with a pixel density of 441 ppi. This means the display is better than some of the premium phones out there and is cheaper in terms of price than other such devices. The screen lets you work crisply and offers an amazing view for videos, photos and games alike. The auto light function does not do awfully well outdoors under direct sunlight, but adjusting the brightness manually helps with better outdoor visibility. Touch sensitivity is also great and the company claims that you can even operate the phone with wet hands.
Powerful Hardware
So what is Xiaomi offering for the 13,999 price tag? Well, its powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. The Mi 3 comes with 16GB internal storage, but does not support storage expansion through microSD card. This could be one factor which can be a turn off for users who are looking for more space with their smartphones.
In terms of connectivity the smartphone consists of 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB 2.0 and NFC. It has a 3,050mAh battery made for a heavy user who consumes music and streaming videos on the go. With this the company also claims that the Smartphone can deliver talk time of up to 21 hours on 3G networks.
