Xiaomi Mi5 To Feature a 5.5-inch Display & 4GB Of RAM


BANGALORE: The release date of the most awaited flagship device from Xiaomi is closing by and there were numerous rumors regarding the specification of the Mi5. Earlier this week, an e-retailer website listed the Xiaomi Mi5 for $599(Approx. 40,000) and soon it was removed from the site, reports Digit.

Along with the price, the listing also revealed all the specs of the device and these specs seem legit. According to the e-commerce website oppomart that listed the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 on their site, they unveiled almost every internal specs and screen details of the phone.

The earlier rumor suggested that the Mi5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. The post on oppomart also listed out similar specs as speculated with Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM.

The website also had listed the storage options – 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. Xiaomi which is also known as the ‘Chinese Apple’ are using the similar strategy as Apples with storage options on the phone.

The biggest shock is that, for quite some time many of the Smartphone experts predicted that Mi5 will sport a 5-inch display. But turns out the company isnot a fan of 5-inch device and instead the phonewill feature a 5.5-inch display with QHD resolution.

On the camera front, a 20MP primary shooter and an 8MP front-facing camera is expected to capture better pictures than the previous flagship devices on the device. The power is drawn from a 3,800mAh battery and it is expected to run on existing MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The website has also listed the color options of the spoken phone to be black and white. However, the Chinese firm is expected to launch the phone in early next year which is around February.
