Samsung to Release 4 New Smartphone Variants in 2016

BENGALURU: The recent leaks suggest that the electronics giant Samsung might launch four high-end Galaxy smartphones the coming year, reports NDTV.

The four rumored variants of Samsung Galaxy phones might be Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge, and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. Previously, there were many rumors about Samsung Galaxy S7 and so on, but this new rumor suggests that the company might release not two but four variants of Galaxy S7 series by first half of the upcoming year. The Galaxy S7 Plus will be an upgraded version of the flagship, the Galaxy S7.

Several reports did indicate that Samsung may launch its flagship smartphone sooner than in previous years, the latest revelation points to Samsung launching the Galaxy S7 at MWC 2016, as it had with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge last year.

Based on previous leaks, the Galaxy S7 has been rumored to feature a 5.2-inch display and it is said to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor in select regions. The company's anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone will be the first handset to have Qualcomm's latest offering. It is also rumored to sport a 3D Touch-like pressure sensitive display.
