Nokia launches E6 and X7


Helsinki: Nokia world's leading mobile phone supplier is all set to launch its latest two new smartphone models. These models will be running on new version of Symbian software platform. The two models which Nokia announced are the E6 and the X7. The X7 is a full touch screen device focusing more on entertainment and gaming whereas E6 aims at business users. The Nokia X7 has four inch Amoled display offering 16 million colours and a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels and quality sound output. It has stainless steel and glass design, and come with the games Asphalt 5 and Galaxy on Fire pre-loaded. Besides its brand new look, X7 will feature the latest update of the Symbian operating system, the Symbian Anna. The X7 will feature a preinstalled 8 GB memory card which can be upgraded till 32 GB. A 320 MB of internal memory functioning as its RAM is also available. It will also feature an 8MP camera. It offers 2G and 3G network connectivity and Wi-Fi support along with Bluetooth 3.0 and USB connectivity. It offers a 3.5mm audio connector for external audio connectivity. The X7 will cost around $520. As for the E6, it has 2.46 touchscreen. Since E6 is aimed at corporate users the device will feature mail for exchange, browser access to Microsoft point with business grade security and the ability to read and edit Powerpoint, Word and Excel documents via Quick Office. The E6 will cost around $491.6. Earlier Nokia's new chief executive Stephen Elop dumped Symbian software in February and stated that the company would use Microsoft Corp's unproven software as its primary platform. Finally all is well as Nokia unveiled the two new models of Symbian software and cleared all the speculation.
