HP Veer 4G Smartphone available from May 15


Bangalore: AT&T announced that HP Veer 4G Smartphone will be available from May 15 which is priced at 4, 454. It is a two-year contract with HP. The Smartphone is a slider device that is of the width and length of a credit card and has a thickness of a deck of cards. The Veer 4G will be the first phone to have the latest HP WebOS software, since HP purchased Palm, the WebOS maker. This phone is considered as the smallest of the HP WebOS Smartphones. Veer 4G offers advanced browser and faster processor including Adobe Flash support, plus 8GB of internal user storage and a full keyboard that slides out for texting and email. It has a 2.6-inch touchscreen where messages, reminders and Facebook updates are displayed. There are a lot of new applications that are included in this phone which are mobile hotspot and AT&T Navigator. The mobile hotspot application allows the users to share wireless internet connectivity with up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. AT&T Navigator is a GPS enabled navigation service which is designed to provide clear, precise, audible and visual turn-by-turn driving directions, including full-color moving maps. GPS can be directly used from wireless phones. HP Veer 4G smartphone has a 2.6 inch multitouch display with 320x400 pixel resolution, a slide out qwerty keyboard, 5 MP camera, 2.1 Bluetooth, 800 MHz processor and quad-band GSM and 7.2 High-Speed Downlink Packet Access(HSDPA).
