Elephone Unveils Vowney; Powered by Windows 10 and Android 5.0




BANGALORE: Elephone isn’t a famous Smartphone brand, as the Chinese neighbors like Xiaomi and Huawei, but this Chinese Smartphone start up has made interesting handsets in the past and has been a head turner in the market. Yet the firm once does the magic by unveiling the new Smartphone that comes with dual-boot, which runs on both Windows 10 Mobile and Android 5.0 Lollipop, report NDTV.

The dual-boot phone is called Vowney and it is priced at $299.99 (approximately 20,000). The novel device will available to pre-order on the official website from this Thursday and will go be distributed from September 30.

Elephone promotes Vowney Smartphone as the flagship Smartphone for this financial year. The latest Elephone Vowney sports a 5.5-inch QHD IPS LCD display that is seen on the top-end Smartphones from Samsung and LG with 535ppi.

The Vowney comes with a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor paired with 3GB RAM. The Phablet features 64GB of internal memory and it has option of storage expansion up to another 64GB through microSD card slot.

Another highlight of this new phone is that it houses a 20.7MP rear shooter with Sony Exmor IMX230 sensor. The rear camera is accompanied by a dual-LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera completes the camera package in Vowney.

The Smartphone packs in a big removable battery with a capacity of 4200mAh and also comes with fingerprint sensor on the rear right below the camera. In the box, customers get an additional battery with lower capacity of 3800mAh. The device supports 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. The Elephone Vowney will be available in Black and White colour variants.
