Invites Out; Microsoft to Unveil New Lumia Phones, Surface Pro 4


BENGALURU: American multinational technology company, Microsoft, has started sending invites to its next most anticipated hardware event that is to take place on October 6, reports Tech2.

The awaited event is expected to launch its new Lumia phones two handsets reportedly Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL and Surface Pro 4, which is the most awaited successor to the Surface Pro 3.

Surface Pro 4 is expected to come with new updates like a larger display, Windows Hello support, a refined keyboard and a fingerprint scanner. A report also suggests the possibility of a 14-inch Surface device and also an additional Surface device.

As for the new handsets, Lumia 950 and 950 XL are been code-named Talkman and Cityman, respectively. The Lumia 950 or Talkman will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels of resolution. This 3GB RAM phone might be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor along with a 3,000mAh battery. It also sports a 20MP rear, 5MP front-facing camera and comes with 32GB internal storage.

Lumia 950 XL or Cityman, the larger version will come with a 5.7 inch display and might be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,300mAh battery. The other features are slightly similar to Lumia 950. Both smartphones will support Qi wireless charging and also an infrared scanner that will unlock the device in seconds.

This is not it all, as there are rumors about a new Microsoft band and no news are released so far.
