A Glance At Xiaomi's Latest Offering: Redmi 2 & Mi Pad

BANGALORE: Last weekend, the Chinese electronics manufacturer, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi 2 and Mi Pad to Indian market. The two devices come with a great combination of good specifications and affordable price tag. The Redmi 2 costs 6,999 and Mi Pad the tablet is priced at 12,999. Although, we are talking about these two new launches, yet we won’t be doing the in depth review of these devices, reports NDTV.

Redmi 2The prime thing we observe on the Redmi 2 is that it has a redefined look from its predecessor Redmi 1S, it is lighter and seems smooth; all because of the new look with curvy edges. The build quality for a budget Smartphone has improved a lot in a year on the Redmi 2 and whereas, the Mi Pad’s build seems pretty plasticky but as this the   company’s the first generation tablet, it probably will get better in the future models.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad is a perfect competitor for the Apple’s iPad Mini carrying around similar looks to its adversary. However, the design is not a mistake which resembles the iPad and on the other hand, the Xiaomi’s tablet doesn’t seem or feel premium from any angle. But, specifications under the hood compensates for all the flaws.
