6 Smartwatches Pitched Against Galaxy Gear

Bangalore: Gadget world is evolving at a fast pace. First the imagination of the consumers was captured by Smartphones and now smartwatches. The rumors about Apple’s iWatch (probably called so) erupted in the world media, and so were about Google bringing its own smartwatch, but Samsung beat the other two by launching its latest wearable gadget, Galaxy Gear.

Galaxy Gear which recently unveiled at IFA, Berlin, Germany,  has 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with a thrifty 320 x 320 resolution, a single-core 800MHz Exynos processor, which can act like a perfect mate to your smartphone. It has abilities to pick up notifications, control music playback, and keep time with a rich variety of watch faces, and comes with 1.9-megapixel camera. Gear sports a speaker, and two microphones — allowing you to shoot short 720p movies and even conduct phone calls.
