5 Mobile Trends that Died, but Must have Lived

2. Xenon Flash:

Cameras have become an integral part of all new smartphones. Now a day most of the high-end phones come with a 5MP camera and it seems like in few years 8MP camera will be a standard for all high-end smartphones, but a good camera should always be backed with a good flash. Xenon flash has the best burst of light, but still they are not doing well in the market the main reason being its technical composition which is not fruitful for video recording. Most of the makers are shifting to LED flash; some of the phones even come with dual LED flashes like HTC Sensation and the Nokia Lumia 800. But Xenon flash is still trying to survive and is there in one of the latest phone Nokia 808 which comes with a terrifying 41MP camera.

3. Infrared Port:

Infrared port or IR port was there at the edge of many older mobile phones. This technology allowed the devices to transfer data wirelessly when both the devices are kept side by side. This trend was eaten up by the better Bluetooth which gave more connectivity and larger transfer range. IR ports have become out of date now; the only device which came up with this port recently is Sony Tablet S.
