#6 Samsung Galaxy S

Samsung Galaxy S was introduced to show how its maker would dominate the Android line up of Smartphones in the coming years. When it was launched globally in 2010, it had specs that matched Desire and Nexus One.

The Smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android Gingerbread. There is 512 MB of RAM and internal storage capacity comes in 8 and 16GB variants which can expand up to 32GB via microSD support.

The device came with a 4.0 inch display supporting 480 x 800 pixels. There was a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA in the front.

Around 24 million Galaxy S handsets were sold at the start of 2013.

#7 HTC Evo 4G

From the time of its launch world wide, the HTC Evo 4G has been a top selling phone. During its release, the much talked about spec was the large display screen.

Powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the device has a RAM of 512 MB which is not so worth it these days. The onboard storage memory of the device is up to 32GB with microSD support. It came with Android v2.1 Eclair and is upgradable to Gingerbread.

The device’s display was something that impressed everyone during the phone’s release. The 4.3 inch screen supported a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels resolution, with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The back panel featured an 8 megapixel rear camera while the front side had a 1.3 megapixel secondary snapper.
