10 New iOS 9 Features That Were Missing in iOS 8

sdBENGALURU: We all know iOS8 was a huge leap for iPhone, comparing with its previous version of iOS7. Presently, with the latest release of Apple’s iOS9, both the old and the new iPhone’s has a futuristic features, that will add to its usability. Once you upgrade to iOS 9, take some time to peruse the Settings app to tweak it to your own likes, according to macworld.com.

Battery:

Battery saving is one of the most important feature for any Smartphone. The previous iPhone models were not upto the mark when it came to battery life. Whereas,  the all-new Battery menu in the new iOS9 enables you to manually switch to Low Power Mode as soon as your battery reaches 20 percent and again at 10 percent respectively.

This feature will save much of the battery life even when the phone is in standby mode.

Touch Accommodations:

The all-new menu in iOS 9 lets you tweak behaviors on how to touch the screen to register a tap-and-hold, the duration in which multiple touches should only register as a single touch, and so on. If your normal touches and swipes don’t always result in the intended action, some experimenting with these controls could really help the user.

The new Keyboard setting “Show Lowercase Keys” means that, your software keyboard will toggle between lower-case and upper-case letters so you can always tell what kind of letter you’re about to type. Turn this switch off to keep the old always-capital keyboard from iOS 8.

Notifications:

However, the notification setting hasn’t changed a lot, but there is a new sort order, When you select ‘Recent’, you’ll see the notifications in reverse chronological order, meaning the newest one is always on top. It is great for when you notice a banner just as it’s going away, or when you hear your phone beep from across the room.

In Recent mode, you get a switch for Group By App, which means each app’s notifications will appear together, newest on top. When a newer notification comes in, all the notifications for that app will jump to the top of the list.
