Samsung to Launch Its Foldable Display Smartphone in Jan 2016


BENGALURU: Samsung’s tipster SamMobile gave us a hint about the first foldable plastic display smartphone by the South Korean electronics giant Samsung, the report also points that the project is codenamed as Project Valley, reports Tech2.

The report further adds that the foldable device is being tested in two different configurations, one featuring Snapdragon 620 processor, and the other with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. The device includes a microSD card slot, 3GB RAM and a non-removable battery. It sets to launch in coming January 2016.

The other leaks are about S7, which the company is trying hard to feature it with Snapdragon 820 processor. Reportedly the S7 might come in two different variants, one with Snapdragon 820 processor and other with Exynos 8890 processor. But not sure whether the high-end smartphone will be available in all the mobile markets.

The company recently launched its Samsung Edge and Edge Plus with dual edge display variants. Besides, the company also launched a flip phone with dual displays and Snapdragon 808 SoC.
