Jaypee Group Plans 2,000 Crore Investment In Hospitals

Of the total 25 acres in the present hospital campus, 18 acres had been used so far. Construction for the second phase with 1,200 beds capacity will take place in the remaining land, Dixit said.

The hospital started with the outpatient department (OPD) and executive health check up in the present campus a month ago. "We have done public participative programme in the vicinity of the hospital. We are expecting patients from South Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, East Delhi, Ghaziabad and western Uttar Pradesh," Singh said.

He is hopeful that by the end of this fiscal (2014-15) the hospital will witness 50 percent occupancy. Asked about the affordability, Singh said: "We have done the pricing competitively with respect to the local market." In the first year of operation he expects 400-500 OPD patients every day.

"We have spent around 600 crore for the current hospital and it took around five years to come up," Dixit said. Almost all the equipment in the hospital were imported from Europe and the U.S.

So far, the hospital has 70 doctors and their number will go up to 200 by mid-August. Initially it will have a manpower of 500.

This hospital is also aimed at providing support to the integrated township that the company is building here.
