Ramakrishnan has been ranked the best CFO in India by YES Bank. He was also awarded the ‘Exemplary All Round Performance’ award and ‘Best Transformation Agent (Large Companies)’ award. The awards jury felt that Ramakrishnan's contributions to Tata Motors surpassed all other contenders. A few of his accolades include - deft handling of the Jaguar Land Rover acquisition, introduction of novel products, efficiencies in working capital management, improved channel management, with CSR initiatives and cost reduction techniques helped him stand apart. According to Business Today, Ramakrishnan believes in aggressive investments and most of their capital is gained from internal accruals. The firm also tries to balance growth, expansion and dividend. The company is also free from bad debt.
