Sensex Provisionally Closes Flat, Up 39 Points


MUMBAI: A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Friday provisionally closed the day's trading 39.49 points, or 0.16 percent, higher.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also provisionally closed trading marginally up 9.75 points, or 0.13 percent, at 7,485.35 points.

The BSE Sensex, which opened at 24,704.59 points, closed at 24,646.48 points (at 03.52 p.m.) up 39.49 points, from the previous day's close at 24,606.99 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 24,719.05 points and a low of 24,531.80 points during the day's trade.
