Children from the third to the eighth standard can participate in this program and win more than 3,000 prizes worth 2 crore. The registration for this scholarship will be open from February 8, 2010 till March 31, 2010. The winner of mega scholarship of 20 lakh will be announced on 14 November, 2010. According to Rajesh Sud, CEO and Managing Director, Max New York Life, it is estimated that there are 119 million parents in India between the age group of 25-44 years with children less than 12 years of age. It is also a known fact that financial security of children is the most important reason that all parents save for. In fact, 85 percent of Indian households having children in 0-15 years of age group save for their children's education. "With the current average age of parents buying insurance being 28 years and reducing, these parents look for more access to financial planning and better financial instruments which offer maximum potential for life insurance. Parents also believe that an all round development of their children today is key to their success in life," Sud said.
