Key Indian Equity Indices Open Flat


MUMBAI: The key Indian equity indices on Monday opened flat as IT stocks dropped following US President Donald Trump's executive order banning travel from seven Muslim majority countries.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 19.71 points or 0.07  pct lower soon after opening.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 10 points or 0.12  pct lower at 8,631.25 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 27,866.80 points, was trading at 27,862.75 points (at 9.16 a.m.), lower 19.71 points or 0.07  pct from the previous day's close at 27,882.46 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 27,890.58 points and a low of 27,847.75 points in the trade so far.
