IDFC Premier Equity Fund opens for subscription


Bangalore: IDFC Mutual Fund (MF) has announced that units of open ended equity scheme, IDFC Premier Equity Fund, shall be available for subscription from January 27, 2010. The company has said that the units will available at the applicable net asset value (NAV). The units of the scheme will be available for subscription till such time as the company may consider appropriate, in accordance with the offer document of the scheme. IDFC Premier Equity Fund is a scheme that seeks to generate long-term capital growth from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity related instruments. As mentioned in the offer document, the scheme would be open to investors for subscription during periods when the fund managers feel that the stocks are reasonably valued. According to IDFC MF, the fund will close subscription, once it has collected a predetermined "manageable" corpus, which will be decided by the fund manager of the scheme depending on the available investment opportunities in the stock market. And if the fund manager is of the opinion that investment opportunities have diminished.
