Freak Derivative Trade:BSE Says Probe On,Normal Trade Tomorrow

Mumbai: The BSE will probe into large movement in Sensex Futures in yesterday's ''Muhurat'' trading, which led to cancellation of all derivatives trades done on the Diwali day, and said it will be normal trading tomorrow. "... We can complete the probe by tomorrow. But normal trading in derivatives would begin tomorrow," a BSE official told PTI. The Samvat 2068 began on a somber note yesterday as the country's premier exchange had to annul all the derivatives trades transacted during the Muhurat session due to large movement of the Sensex Futures, reportedly caused by an incorrect trading done by a trader. "Trading members of the exchange were informed that due to large movement of the Sensex Futures observed during the special session conducted at the Muhurat trading for Diwali, BSE has decided to annul all the derivatives trades done on October 26," the BSE had said yesterday. The exchange had also also suspended a member broker and launched investigation into the matter.
