Budget 2015: Certain Direct Tax Reforms We Wish To See


BENGALURU: The Union Budget is set to hit the Lok Sabha in a fortnight. Citing various progressive measure taken by the Modi Government, a lot of expectation shave been built on the tax front. Also the tax amendments made in the last budget were encouraging which leads us to expect a much simplified taxation system.

Here is the list of most important direct tax amendments which need urgent attention, as compiled by Business Insider Bureau.

Reduce Corporate Tax: Business community is the backbone of Indian economy and their needs must be adhered first. They expect a reduction in corporate tax rate to 25 percent. But the market experts say that it is highly unlikely that the government would cut the rates to that level. As the need of the hour is to rev up the revenues and not to cut down further.
