Axis Mutual Fund launches Tax Saver Fund


Bangalore: With an aim to generate income and long - term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity - related securities, Axis Mutual Fund has launched an open ended equity linked savings scheme named as Axis Tax Saver Fund. The new Fund Offer (NFO) price for the scheme is fixed at 10 per unit. After the new fund offer, the scheme re-opens for continuous sale and repurchase on January 1, 2010. The scheme is open for subscription from December 17, 2009 to December 21 December, 2009 (Today). The scheme plans to invest 80 percent to 100 percent of the assets in equity and equity related instruments with high risk profile. The scheme may also invest upto 20 percent of its assets in debt and money market instruments with low to medium risk profile. The scheme offers both growth and dividend option to its investors with the minimum application amount being 500. The scheme will be benchmarked against BSE 200. Chandresh Nigam is appointed as the Fund Manager of the scheme.
