Pakistan is the neighboring country to India. Despite of its constant political turmoil year round, Pakistan has emerged as the choice of tourist destination for Indians. With its lower currency rate than India’s and is almost the same as the Nepalese Rupee. The rupee was pegged to the British pound until 1982, when the government of General Zia-ul-Haq changed it to managed float. As a result, the rupee devalued by 38.5% between 1982-83 and 1987-88.

The ‘won’ was first used as Korea's currency between 1902 and 1910. In 1945 Korea got divided, namely South Korea and North Korea, thus their currencies also got separate recognition. From the year 2008-9, Indian currency was at its highest at 1 rupee = 30 South Korean Won and the lowest recorded exchange rate was seen in the year 2013 at 1 Rupee = 15 South Korean Won.
