3. Higher Brokerage Income

Brokerages are on the top when compared to their other counter parts. Compared to the previous years, brokerages enjoyed an increased amount in the opening of Demat account and having an investment in it from customers. The reason for this is that as the stock prices soared, it directly increased brokerages fees. However, this year has seen its share of share prices trembling. There is still hope that by the introduction of EPFO, brokerages may get their businesses back.

4. Reduced Dependence on FII’s

For a long time we have seen foreign investors investing in our equity markets as much as $1 bn per month which is mind boggling. In recent years, India has seen a decline in the stock markets which was solely dependent upon the foreign investors. Now, even they are cautiously investing in our markets because they fear they might not get enough needed returns. With the introduction of EPFO, stock markets may see an average increase which is equivalent to the FII’s monthly average investment.
