She was born as Lily Watkins on December 30, 1934 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Her father was a British Railway Engineer. She was brought up in Rio de Janerio.
She acquired wealth from her marriages. She got married four times in her lifetime. The first marriage took place when she was 17 years with Mario Cohen.
After their divorce, she married Alfredo "Freddy" Monteverde in 1965. Montevedre commited suicide in 1969 and Lily started dating Edmond Safra, a billionaire banker. However, they both dated for some time but didn’t take the vow as husband and wife and Lily married Samuel Bendahan in 1972.
The marriage lasted only a year and after their divorce, Lily married Safra. Safra died in 1999 in a fire accident. Well, the accident is believed to be arson.
Mr Safra left a fortune for Lily and she is now one of the billionaires in the world without doing anything.
