Ericsson is providing the technology leadership for operators to evolve to next-generation of networks - with a vision of 50 billion connected devices by 2020, enabling full-service broadband solutions over converged IP networks. The Bangalore R&D center will be a key enabler in advancing Ericsson's vision through innovation, technology and excellence in products and solutions.
The initial focus of the Bangalore design center will be on accelerating Ericsson roadmap for Smart Edge platforms & IP technology - which powers the Ericsson Multi Service Edge Router (MSER) product line, the Converged Packet Gateway (CPG) product for Evolved Packet Core deployments and is increasingly becoming the cornerstone of several Ericsson solutions such as Mobile Packet Backbone Networks (MPBN), Mobile Backhaul, IP RAN, and several others. We are hiring the best and brightest engineers and managers with experience in building carrier class platforms with focus on one or more of the following: L2/L3 Routing, MPLS protocols & applications, BGF/VoIP, L4L7 (IPSec, Firewall/IPS, DPI), Kernel and device drivers, packet forwarding, Microcode for NPUs, NMS/EMS, BRAS platforms & protocols.
