G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (For Women), sponsored by G.Pulla Reddy Charities Trust was started on 15th December 1997. Sri G.Pulla Reddy is an eminent business man of great integrity and impeccable reputation. His business of vending sweets of surpassing taste and purity has earned him celebrity status all over the state of Andhra Pradesh. Though poorly educated by modern standards he has become an educationist par excellence by starting number of educational institutions of varied hue in his native district of Kurnool and in Hyderabad. He is the Chairman of G.Pulla Reddy Charities Trust and under his benign and pragmatic guidance the G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (for women) has recorded phenomenal growth in a short span. The vital role played by the women in the society and the increased awareness and empowerment of women has motivated the Charities Trust to start an engineering college exclusively for women, on 15th December 1997.

It seeks to fulfill the need for creating special avenues for women to pursue their acadamic aspirations and thus enable them to assert their individuality,intellectual capability, economic independence and social standing. It intends to equip women with aptitude and ability to stand square and strive in building a progressive nation.

The candidates who want to seek admission in G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Scienc have to qualify in the EAMCET ( Engineering ,Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test ) examination conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh . To be eligible for appearing in the EAMCET examination, the student should have passed the 10 + 2 with Maths,Physics and Chemistry as their main stream.
The candidates should attend the counselling for admission into the Engineering colleges conducted by the Convenor. Based on the rank obtained in EAMCET, candidates can opt for GNITS as per the availability of the college and branch at the time of counselling.GNITS offers B.Tech four year degree course for specialization in the branches of
Fees : for Convener seat it is Rs.26,000/- and for Management seat it is Rs.79,000/-. As the CSE, ECE, EEE, ETM and IT courses are accredited by NBA - AICTE, Rs.2,000/- extra has to be paid towards tuition fees for both the category seats in these streams.
