BTL institute of Technology was established in 1997 by the BTL Educational Trust for Rural Development. The trust as well as BTL institute of Technology was founded and chaired by Prof. B. T. Lakshman, a non resident Indian settled in USA. The day to day functioning is looked after by the Working Chairman, the Honorary Secretary and Supported by members of the Executive council. BTL institute of Technology is located on the Hosur Main Road, a stone's throw distance from the Electronic City, Bangalore. In 25 acres of lush green scenery, providing an excellent environment for a well balanced and highly competitive technical education. The institute is approved by the All India Counsel for Technical Education and the Govt. of Karnataka. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
