Omnistrate: Transform your software into a multi-cloud B2B SaaS offer in days not years
For most organizations building a modern Cloud Application is a major challenge. As it involves managing complex topics like multi tenancy, dynamic scaling, high availability, security, automation and customer billing, while also maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. These challenges require deep architectural foresight, robust tooling, and meticulous operational planning, and building a team with those skill sets can be both difficult and expensive.
To understand how Omnistrate Solves these problems, it is important to understand that all SaaS applications consist of two core components: The Control Plane & The Application Plane.
The Control Plane is responsible for managing the operational, administrative, and governance aspects of the SaaS platform. It acts as the central brain of the system, handling orchestration, configuration, and coordination between various services and tenants.
The Application Plane is where the actual business logic, functionality, and most user-facing features of the SaaS product reside. It is the layer that delivers the core application experience to the end users.
Omnistrate provides a Control Plane as a Service (the first in the Industry), this allows our customers and partners to invest all of their development resources on enhancing their Application while also benefiting from the highly advanced features that the Omnistrate Control Plane Provides.
Omnistrate works mainly with two customer types:
Cloud Startups:
A Cloud Startup is a newly founded company that focuses on developing and delivering cloud based products or services. These services run on clouds like AWS, Azure or GCP. These companies are typically characterized by innovation, rapid growth, and a focus on leveraging technology to solve specific problems.
By leveraging Omnistrate, Cloud Startups skip the expensive and time consuming process of building their own Control Plane. As a result our customers often reduce their build out costs by millions of dollars, while reducing their time to market by months or even years.
This also allows our Startup customers to focus all of their time and effort on perfecting their Application Plane, bringing new product features and enhancements to market significantly faster.
Existing Cloud Companies (with missing SaaS features)
The Omnistrate Control Plane is feature complete, and for our startup customers it runs as a fully turn key solution. However our Control Plane is also modular in design, and flexible in how it is deployed. This allows customers to choose which features and capabilities to use, enabling Omnistrate to enhance existing SaaS solutions with new features and capabilities.
While there is a long list of things the Omnistrate Platform can help existing Cloud Applications with, we see three scenarios most often:
Simplified Multi-Cloud:
Most companies start with one Hyper-Scaler (often AWS), with the plan to eventually expand to all of them. For the Application Plane there are minor differences between the clouds, and the work to optimize the Application Plane for each cloud is a real, but manageable effort. However as the Control Plane works with the Cloud at its most basic level, most companies design and build separate Control Planes for each.
The Omnistrate Service abstracts the core differences from our customers, this allows our customers to focus on optimizing their Application, while we take care of the rest. Many of our customers are able to add Multi-Cloud support with a few weeks of effort, and for a fraction of the cost associated with building new Control Planes for each cloud.
Companies are focusing on Data Security more today than ever before, and as a result many organizations will not allow sensitive data to leave their realm of control. For B2B SaaS companies, it means that the SaaS Application itself must be installed, operated and maintained within cloud accounts owned and controlled by the customer. While this sounds simple in theory, it is actually the most complex SaaS deployment model.
As Omnistrate provides various configurations of BYOA support out of the box, existing SaaS Companies are leveraging the Omnistrate Platform to meet their customer’s demand for BYOA deployment options.
Multi-Region Support
The cloud providers have hundreds of Data Centers and Dozens of Regions, and companies rarely move their data between regions due to Networking Fees & Data Sovereignty Laws. This means that B2B SaaS Applications work best when deployed in and managed from the same Region and DataCenter that host their customer's other services.
As Cloud Application Companies sell to new customers in more and more regions, the cost and overhead to replicate and manage a growing number of regional deployments is a complex and time consuming effort.
The Omnistrate Service allows our customers to quickly extend support for their Applications into (and out of) new regions, while also keeping everything in sync, healthy, and secure. It can also monitor for usage and scale down unused services to save costs.
In summary, Omnistrate simplifies cloud application development and management, helping companies, especially those in the SaaS space, to launch, manage, and scale their services without needing to deal with the underlying infrastructure complexities.
