MUMBAI: The Laussane, Switzerland based International Institute of Management Development (IMD) has given thumbs up to Indias growing competitiveness. India has raised an impressive 10 notches to 29 from 39.
Stephane Garelli, Director, World Competitiveness Yearbook, and professor of IMD said, This is largely the result of the dynamism of the technology and the services sector. Besides, now the government seems to have a clearer policy on opening the country to foreign business participation.
Garelli said, The U.S. is grappling with higher budget deficits and debt. It is facing problems with regard to the governments efficiency.
